Are you looking for a destination unlike any other, a place that offers fascinating history, award-winning beaches, fun and exciting activities, and a huge selection of accommodations and restaurants? · The beaches have received prestigious awards from Byways Magazine, Courier Post , New Jersey Star Ledger, Traveler Magazine, and the Travel Channel

· The Boardwalk stretches out over the Atlantic Ocean almost two miles

· A 220-foot long by 30-foot high mural, called "Whaling Wall", painted by the infamous environmental artist, Wyland, can be seen at Garfield Avenue and the Boardwalk

· Within the walls of the Boyer Museum is the National Marbles Hall of Fame, with memorabilia dating back 77 years

· Every June at Ringer Stadium, the National Marble Tournament is held on ten concrete platforms, which have been permanently built into the sand

· Favorably nicknamed the Mecca of the kiting world, Wildwood hosts an International Kite Festival every Memorial Day Weekend

These are just a few of the unusual facts about this fine city. Other activities that make Wildwood an incredible destination include beach aerobics, biking, dolphin watching, fishing, golf, and tons of various water sports. Wildwood BeachBeach Information:
Wildwood beaches are free - no beach tags are required.

Lifeguards are on duty 10am - 5:30pm (June 12 - September)

Sand wheelchairs are available - No charge. They can be obtained on first come first serve basis at Taylor Avenue & Lincoln Avenue patrol buildings.

Boardwalk
Boardwalk hours for bicycles and roller blades are until 11am.

Fishing
Surf fishing is permitted on all beaches October - May. Check with beach patrol during summer months.

Recreation
Tennis courts are located at Fox Park, 4500 Atlantic Avenue. Call the Recreation Department at (609-522-5837) for more information.
