When looking for that perfect refuge away from home, look no further than Beach Haven. With its six mile stretch of beach and sea, no other coastal spot can compare and there is something for even the most discriminating tastes and interests in this busy town.

Youngsters will enjoy the many amusements geared towards the kids. Let them scream from the top of their lungs on the rides, play a round of miniature golf, or unload their change at the arcade. A sizzling summer day is best spent on the umbrella-filled beaches where both kids and adults alike will relish a cooler atmosphere.

But Beach Haven isn’t just a hotspot for children. Adults can savor the history of this seaside town with a visit to the Long Beach Island Museum or take a guided walking tour of historic Victorian homes and bed and breakfast inns. The historic district also boasts some of the finest beaches in Long Beach Island if sunning and water sports are on the agenda. There are also plenty of shops perfect for souvenirs or to grab sunscreen.

Another opportunity to take in Beach Haven is from the air. Parasailing provides the chance to see spectacular views of the island and the bay the way the gulls do – from 500 feet up.

All of these activities will surely make your stomach rumble for sustenance and the restaurant choices range from elegant dining to casual meals. While reminiscing about your day over a wonderful meal, you will come to appreciate why the town is called Beach Haven.
