On a recent trip to Wildwood, we were looking for an off boardwalk site to eat and we happen to LOVE mexican food. Juan Pablo's atmosphere is cool enough (two phrases come to mind, unorigional and trying too hard-- but beats anything else in Wildwood). The food was well below average. I ordered beef enchiladas, took one bite and literally spit it into my napkin because it didn't taste edible. I let a freind try it just to see if I was crazy and he gave the same reaction. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she appologized and said something about their kitchen being horrible and that she would remove it from the bill. The server was VERY pleasent, but we recieved the worst service of my life. VERY slow, plates not cleared, no refills, bar drinks took FOREVER, check came about 20 minutes after we asked for it, etc. I work in a restaurant and eat out 4+ times a week, this place is at the bottom of my list. May be a cool place to hang out and have a few drinks, but just don't come hungry. On a side note, the hostess was very helpful and pleasant.
