Cape Island Campground 709 Route 9 Cape May, NJ (609) 884-5777
User Reviews | Map It! Andy (10/25/2004) We have been checking out campgrounds all around the Southern NJ region looking for a place to do seasonal camping. Ironically Cape Island wasn't on our list to check out,but in passing by we said "what the heck" Well The owners where helpful and friendly and when we went out to check out available site we had a chance to talk to many residents of the Camp Ground...Everyone had nothing but good things to say, It is a bit higher than some of the other campgrounds in the area but the attention and the pride the owners take in their facility make it worth a few extra dollars. It didn't take us long to decide that this was the BEST campground that we visited. I have reserved our spot for the 05 season and can't wait to become a member of this friendly community.
patricia (9/5/2004) The worst campground. You have to enter the campground thru a trailer park with not one person who is friendly. They dislike campers going thru their Trailer neighborhood. Bathrooms are pay and shower shuts off. Campsites are very tight. Overall STAY AWAY
anne (7/8/2004) this was the very best campground i've ever been to!! (and i've camped all over the U.S.)the people who run the place were so pleasant and helpful. we were assigned a beautiful and spacious site in the shade.the rate were very reasonable for this area. they provided us with fun activities for our kids. the owners seem to value their campground and it shows. the bathhouses were spotless which is VERY rare in a campground. i would HIGHLY recommend this one if you ever plan to visit the cape may area!A+++++++
