User Reviews | Map It! Joan (8/10/2008) What a rip off!! This restaurant advertises online and in the Atlantic City weekly and does not technically exist!! We made a reservation by calling the phone number listed for Lamberti. Unbeknownst to us, this phoneline automatically goes to The Shore Club in Longport. We made a reservation for 7 (at what we believed was Lamberti's) and were required to submit a credit card number to hold the reservation. On the appointed day we made the 30 minute trek to Lamberti's in Margate. Once there we were told that they did not have our reservation. A patron told us that Lamberti's had moved to Longport and was not longer using the Lamberti name. We were obliged to go to the "new" Lamberti's because of the credit card holding and because were felt we would never find a restaurant on a Saturday summer nite that would take 7 people .Also, we were celebrating one of our party's birthday. Once at the new location, we did express our displeasure at the lack of information given to us at the time of booking for this "new" venue. We did not make a scene out of respect for the birthday person. The Shore Club's menu was not at all like the one advertised for Lamberti's and it was more costly. We felt totally ripped off. Not only are we writing this review but we are also contacting the Better Business Bureau. I should also mention that when we questioned the hostess about not being made aware of the closing of Lamberti's during the initial reservation making, she said that someone must have answered the phone who didn't know that they should be informing diners of this fact. Later we were told that the owners have just been so busy that they haven't had time to cancel the telephone line that automatically switches the unsuspecting Lamberti diner to the Shore Club.......Really!!!! The idea is, to put it politely, a bit farfetched. Our advice is to stay away from this restaurant for 3 reasons: the food isn't that good, it is very pricey for what you get, and their integrity is quite questionable.
Joseph Lamberti (9/29/2005) Lamberti's on the bay is excellent! If you want to complain about prices then dont eat there. Luciano Lamberti has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years and I think he knows how to price his food!
pimpersnarf (8/6/2004) The food is very good but a little pricey. Just stay away from the seafood pasta combo, it's totally not worth it. The antipast is lovely and the arribiata fab. Go for the view after a great day in the water. Its a lovely atmosphere and great for friends.
