The OD is by far the greatest bar down the shore. When was the last time you walked into a bar and people were banging on the ceilings? They have great drink specials during the week, and some of the best bands in the Tri-state area. Not to mention the people that work there like Robby Hollywood and Billy the shot boy. I highly recommend the OD if you're down the shore.

I worked at the OD for a few years, and I loved every night. I made a lot of good friends and made a ton of $$$$$. The bar is part of all that comes down for the weekend or the whole summer to work in. It's a east coast south jersey thinf. Being that I am a Philly guy, I have to say that it:s the best dam bar on the coast. Yeah man!!!!!!  GK (5/25/2005)
Not to rain on anyones parade kids...but the OD is overrated. And how does anyone over 5'8" even stand in there! I'm 5'3" and I get claustrophobic!

This is the best and my all time favorite bar. Crowded on weekends and Saturday at "no shower happy hour", DEF where its at. Don't wash your hand so you can come back later that night after happy hour. Locals know the dollar shot menu and know how to do it right. Afterward 4109 is the only place to be. Mogwa-Z (4/29/2004)
The OD is hands-down one of the best party bars out there. Been going since 1989, and regardless your age (though generally it's a shade younger here than other SIC places), you will HAVE FUN! Super bartenders, Shot-Boy Nick, etc will keep you lubed and in Jello shots. Bands are the best, either at the bar or on the stage. Gets crowded but that's part of the "charm." Secret Service Sunday happy hours are traditional and a riot, good Irish weekends and tabletop shuffleboard to play or sit on, lol. This is what a party bar should be. |
