The line for Mack & Manco's pizza in Ocean City practically hit the beach last week! (thanks to 60 degree weather in January) Pizza that good is worth the wait though... yummy!

If you don't mind going "in-land" a bit - the best of all is Red Sky Cafe In Seaville - Southwest/Mexican gotta try their homemade salsa (thank goodness they let you take some home!)

the best place to eat in North wildwood is Maui dogs --
they have awesome hot dogs, creative toppings and you
get to eat out of dog bowls.

Charlie's in Somers Point, has by far the best Hot Wings. We have even made winter road trips from Philly just for their wings.

seafood- AC Bar and Grill, hands down, take it from a local. Lobster ravioli in pink vodka sauce, topped with jumbo lump crabmeat, its incredible.
wings- yeah charlies is the best, followed by roberts place in margate.
italian- (cheap) tonys baltimore grill, and Dilucas in margate, again,
the ravioli at dilucas is awesome.
fancy) you go to angelos fairmount tavern. period. end of discussion.
subs- Dinos in margate, italian, cheesesteak, or the best tuna sub on the planet.
White house just doesnt do it anymore.
for a great time- There is absolutely no place on earth like the Hard Rock Cafe in Atlantic City. By far the most fun you will ever have going out to eat. Its simply fantastic. High energy staff, great food, and some of the best service in the industry. They really know how to take care of people there. I would make it a definite stop while in town.

I totally agree with you! I live here in OC year round and I would never pay for Mack & Mancos overpriced pizza! They wouldn't know good pizza if it bit them in the A double scribble. . If you want decent pizza try Mario's on Bay Ave.

But by far the best place to eat "Down the Shore" is Piro's in N. Wildwood. Its pricey but fantastic!!!

That's so funny, I haven't heard that expression (A double scribble) since I left NJ 7 years ago. I have to say, Mack and Manco's has awesome pizza. I miss it. Mississippi has lousy pizza! Anyone want to trade pizza for Mardi Gras beads? LOL!

I guess that there won't be a MardiGras this year due to Hurricane Katrina that inihilated Biloxi to New Orleans. Feel free to send Mack and Manco pizza anyway and TastyCakes and Phiily Cheese steaks and soft pretzels too please. LOL.

Express pizza is very good and cheap.
Voltaco's for cheesesteaks, Sack O Subs for cold subs.
Mack and Mancos is getting too expensive for what they are.

Back Bay Ale House in Gardiner's Basin in AC has the best crabmeat appetizer - and this means something from someone who was raised in Baltimore. I always order it as an entree. All their food & liquor prices are reasonable and you can sit on an enclosed 2nd floor deck and watch the sunset over the bay. The staff gives a 'welcome to our family' vibe. The 32oz bloody mary in a mason jar is great and served with a shrimp garnish [must order 32oz size to get the shrimp].

In Somers Point the best place to eat during the summer months is the Claim Bar on Bay Ave. Be ready for a wait, but you will not be disappointed.

June's Cafe on 8th and Ocean Ave is a great new year-round spot. June's is located in the former Red Raider Deli building beneath Sandaway Inn.
Ed Hitzel raves about Chef June's homemade soups – especially the NE Clam Chowder and Carrot Ginger Bisque w/ toasted almonds. June is a long time, legit local Chef (Sails, Owl Tree, Harry’s Inn, Claridge Casino, etc.) that creates amazing daily blackboard specials for Breakfast and Lunch. She is there every day preparing meals herself!
Although the new owners have not been operating long enough to renovate the exterior, they did overhaul the important areas i.e., interior and kitchen.

Here's my choices: Pizza-Greenhouse-Margate-(Awesome!) Italian-Angelo's Fairmont Tavern-A.C.-(Simply the best) Italian Hoagie-White House-A.C.-(I always take some back to Florida) Turkey Hoagie-Sack-O-Subs-Ventnor-(I'm not sure why!!) Tuna Hoagie, Cheesesteak-Dino's-Margate-(Voltaco close 2nd) Wings-Roberts Place-Margate-(Get extra napkins) Tacos-Los Amigos-A.C.-(Excellent) Burger(Maynardburger)-Maynards-Margate(you have to try it to believe) Chinese-The Pearl-Somers Pt.-(Best eggroll EVER!!) Seafood-A.C. Bar and Grill-A.C.-(try those Ravioli mentioned before) (They also have the Lil'Beefy and Lil'Porky Samiches that are great) Note-It's a shame Maloney's in Margate is gone. They had some of best food at the Shore, and of course "The Zoo"!!

Mack n Manco's is by far the best pizza. BUT, for seafood you HAVE to go to Cleo's in Ventnor...my hubby is the chef and he's awesome...they make their jumbo lumps with pure crab meat and just enough fill to keep them together...and he has some specials coming out this Feb that will knock your socks off...
